Our application for conversion from Community Interest Company (CIC) to Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) has now been submitted to the Charity Commission. Apparently there’s a long backlog of applications to consider but we expect a decision from them this autumn. As we’ve been lucky enough to have our application sent in under the auspices of Larking Gowen Chartered Accountants via the brilliant Suffolk ProHelp Scheme we’re confident in having made a good application.

We’ve also set up two working groups recently. One of these groups is working on refining the design for the interior of the building while the other is updating our Business Plan and associated appendices. Both of these groups are made up of a mix of talented and experienced people from our community working together with Jetty Lane Directors. We’re looking forward to showcasing our work on the design later this summer.

In the last two months we’ve received £6,050 in donations from two kind individuals. We’ve also received £1,203.64  which was generously collected for us by the Company of Four who took time out from rehearsing Half a Sixpence to give us a big cheque!

We’re extremely grateful that donations continue to be sent in!

Best wishes from all of us at Jetty Lane,

Cordelia
